What is Kelowna accommodations season rentals?
 Kelowna Accommodations Seasonal Rentals is a property management and rental company specializing in short-term vacation rentals in Kelowna, BC. We offer vacationers an alternative accommodation other than a basic hotel room. We also offer long-term rentals for the winter. Discovery Bay Resort offers: All of the self-contained comforts and necessities of modern life that you’d expect with the finest of holiday, business and vacation resorts. Discovery Bay Resort also gives you access to all there is to offer in and around Kelowna and BC’s sunny Okanagan Valley during your luxury holiday or business time away from home.  All of our rental units offer fully equipped kitchens with all that is needed to serve our guests, TVs, full cable service,  wireless high speed internet and a DVD player, as well as extra towels and linens, washer and dryer and laundry supplies, and propane barbeque on the deck. Each condo comes fully supplied with all paper products and soaps, and all linens and towels. There is a public boat launch right across the street and we offer boat moorage out front of the resort to store your boat.

what are the differences between vacation rentals and hotels/resorts?
Unlike hotel rooms, vacation condos are self-catering. They are cleaned prior to your arrival and then upon your departure. You are responsible for maintaining the property during your stay, and there will not be a daily maid service or fresh towels provided. All homes are equipped with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer for your use.
Where are you located?
All of our Kelowna vacation rentals are located in Kelowna and are within 5 minutes walk to all of Downtown Kelowna. The Discovery Bay Resort and Waterscapes are within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and Okanagan Lake.
Are vacation rentals better for families?
Vacation Rentals are perfect for family vacations. Our condos are much larger than cramped hotel rooms and have all the essentials of home right at your fingertips. Our properties have access private resort indoor and outdoor pools and including a sauna, gym, hot tubs, and a club house.
Can i bring a pet?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any pet-friendly rentals.
Is smoking allowed on the property
Unfortunately, smoking is not permitted in the property.

Amenities

What is included in our property?
Each of our Kelowna vacation condos are fully equipped with all modern appliances: a full kitchen, full size washer/dryer, microwave, coffee makers, etc. All of the linens and towels are provided including beach size towels and personal washcloths. A starter roll of toilet paper will be provided in each bathroom along with a trash bag in the container. You will need to provide all consumable items for during your stay.
Are there a washer and dryer available?
Each property is equipped with a washer and dryer for your use. Laundry pods/ detergent is provided.
Do we have to supply anything in the Vacation rental?
Yes, these are self-catering condos. You will have a starter roll of toilet paper in each bathroom along with a trash bag in the container, but you will need to supply all consumable items for during your stay.
is there a maid services available?
This service is available upon request at an additional charge.
Do The Properties have a private pool?
Yes, all of our private condos offer access private, community indoor and outdoor pools only available to residents of Discovery Bay Resort and the Waterscapes.
Is there a lifeguard on duty?
No, lifeguards are not on duty at our private pools. Upon registration, you assume responsibility for the property along with the pool area. Non-swimmer MUST be supervised at all times.
Will my condo have tv's in all of the bedrooms
Each condo is individually owned and is furnished accordingly. However, each condo does include flat screen TV's in all bedroom as well as the living room.

Your Arrival

do we have to pay for our vacation rental in advance?
50% of the balance is due at the time of booking while the remainder is due 60 days prior to arrival.
What type of security deposit is required for the property?
A $500 pre-authorized damage deposit is required to confirm your vacation rental (credit card imprint) upon check-in. If any damages occur, you will be notified and are responsible for all damages occurred during your stay by any party member.
what are your cancellation policies?
If you cancel your reservation more than 60 days prior to arrival, you are subject to a full refund. If you cancel your reservation 30 days or less prior to your arrival, then your $500 deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel 20 days or less prior to arrival, we reserve the right to charge the full remaining balance due on your reservation. Any changes to reservation dates will incur a $25 charge unless it is an addition to an existing reservation. We advise all quests to take out their own cancellation insurance.
***We do not guarantee refunds less than 60 days prior to arrival, however, if we are able to re-book the suite, we will refund you minus $200 admin fee***
A last-minute emergency has forced me to cancel my reservation. do i have to pay the entire balance of the property?
We understand that emergencies are never planned and will determine this on a case-by-case basis.
if i miss my flight and don't arrive until the next day, do i still have to pay for the first night's stay?
Yes, since these are privately own properties, they are already paid for prior to your arrival. Therefore, no changes are allowed.
what should i pack for my vacation?
The properties are self-catering and you must provide all consumable items during your stay; i.e. toiletry items, personal hygiene items, food, laundry items and cleaning items for during your stay.

During Your Stay

Where Do i check in?
Check-ins are conducted in person at the rental property. 24 hour notice before arrival must be provided to confirm check-in time with our on-site staff. Check-in time is between 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. For more detailed directions, visit our Contact page.
Is your office opened 24 hours?
No, our office is not open 24 hours. For our daily office hours, please visit our Contact page.
what if i arrive after hours?
Advance notice MUST be given should your arrival be later than our check-in times. Visit our Contact page for the necessary information to notify us of any changes to your arrival times.
when do i pay the remaining balance?
We understand that emergencies are never planned and will determine this on a case-by-case basis. The balance will be paid 60 days prior to arrival.
what if i have an emergency after hours?
If you have an emergency requiring Police, Fire or Ambulance - Dial 911. If there is an issue that cannot wait until the next day during normal operating hours, simply dial our main office number: (250) 717 - 6826. Wait and you will be connected directly to the on-call attendant. It might be necessary to leave a voice message and someone will return your call.
can i extend my stay after i arrive?
If the property is available, we can extend your stay with a 24-hour notice.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER RULES APPLICABLE TO THE PROPERTY?
  • No noise after 11.00 pm
  • No pets
  • No smoking
  • Any broken or stolen items will be charged to the guest
  • Appliances such as the washer/dryer or dishwasher are not to be left running if guests are not in the suite

Your Departure

can i have a late check-out?
If the property is available and the cleaning staff has not been dispatched, it may be possible to grant a later check out time. Please note, any time past 11.30 am incurs an additional charge. The price will vary based on the size of the property.
What is the check-out procedure?
  • All garbage is to be removed from the condo and placed in the allocated garbage rooms for your building
  • All dishes MUST be cleaned or in the process of being cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • Please leave building fobs and keys in the envelope provided on your kitchen counter.
  • Rooms are to be left in clean condition with all dishes cleaned or in the process of being cleaned in the dishwasher or a cleaning fee will be applied for excessive cleaning.
​WHAT IF I CHECK-OUT EARLY, DO I GET A REFUND?
Unfortunately no, since the property has already been paid in full we are unable to grant a refund for early check-outs.
What if i left an item in the condo after departing?
All items found in the condo which belong to our guests will be swiftly returned upon request if found. Visit our Contact page to inquire about lost/found items.
